What this one is for
Fluting solves the same problem as rattan from the opposite direction. The vertical grooves catch light along their length and put a shadow between them, so the front has depth and hides fingerprints, but the panel is solid and nothing behind it is visible. For a bedroom or a hallway with a coat rail, that matters more than airflow.
Natural oak keeps the room warm without going orange, and the MDF carcass gives the flutes a stable base so they stay straight across the width. Two drawers, adjustable shelving and an anti-tip strap supplied. This is the piece to choose over the rattan version when the cabinet stands somewhere the contents are not decorative.
