What this one is for
A wall-hung basin leaves a rectangle of empty floor with a waste pipe running through it. That space is only usable by something that stops short of the pipe, which is why this cabinet stands rather than mounts and why the two drawers sit at the top rather than the bottom. The shelving below adjusts around whatever the plumbing dictates.
MDF carries paint better than chipboard and does not chip along the drawer edges, which is the first place a bathroom cabinet shows its age. In white it is the least visible thing you can put under a white basin, and the drawers give the room a place for the clutter that otherwise lives on the rim.
